Perinthalmanna in Malappuram District was the setting for the second in the series of visual tele-documentaries. Here, too, the response from the community to the community outreach activities by the local police has been excellent. However, it was soon discovered that community involvement in the project needed to be strengthened, for optimal effectiveness Hence, the tele-documentary itself provided an excuse for ensuring greater involvement by community members in the activities of the Janamaithri Suraksha project. In order to capture the experiences of the police personnel responsible for programme implementation, several of the experiences of the police personnel were visualized with as much realism as possible, and these form the backdrop to the visual tele-documentary on the Janamaithri Suraksha project as implemented in Perinthalmanna. |

| Local support to the project was evident in the willingness of the local MLA Sri Shashikumar to act as one of the main protagonists in the tele-documentary, along with the local poice officers including Sri Abdul Khader, CI of Police, Sri Biju, SI of Police, and others |
