OrgPEOPLE (estd 2000), a social entrepreneurship firm, is founded on the premise that, despite the increasing complexity of modern governance systems and contemporary society, individuals occupying key positions can contribute significantly to human advancement. In today’s globalised world characterized by pervasive (and often intrusive) technology, the role of the creative individual is often overlooked. However, throughout the history of human civilization, it has always been the strong-willed and motivated individual possessing a clear vision, who has determined the course of society. OrgPEOPLE actively seeks out opportunities to collaborate with such motivated individuals in the course of community development.

OrgPEOPLE has been working with key persons in government and civil society organizations in several states of India on projects to facilitate social betterment within their respective domains of influence. These society beneficial projects of OrgPEOPLE spring from the fertile imagination of our Founder and Mentor , the talented ARTIST NANDAN PILLAI ,and make use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) very effectively to attain their objectives.

"Love Nature to Breathe Oxygen" - An OrgPEOPLE initiative

A community-level campaign for environmental conservation among school and college students, based on Artist Nandan Pillai's acclaimed science fiction "Olivia Kanda Swapnam" [Olivia had a Dream].

Trophies embedded with gold coins worth One Sovereign to the prize winning schools and colleges.

Background:

Today, the world we live in faces the threat of destruction caused by human activities that pollute the air, water and soil, compounded by misuse and over-exploitation of the Earth's natural resources. The worldwide harmful effects of Climate Change and Ozone Depletion are being seen in the frequent occurrence of Natural Disasters, Disease Epidemics, etc.

Rather than correct those who indulge in destruction of nature, OrgPEOPLE feels it would be much more practical to educate members of the younger generation. This is the underlying reasoning for this environmental awareness initiative by OrgPEOPLE, conceptualized by renowned Artist Nandan Pillai, who is also our Founder.

OrgPEOPLE is proud to present the book "Olivia Kanda Swapnam" by Artist Nandan Pillai, whose beautiful illustrations using natural materials such as clay, leaves and flowers add immensely to the theme of the book. The book has been assessed by senior science educators and experienced scientists as being a necessary educational aid to all students on the dangers of environmental misuse. By striving to ensure that all students get a copy of the book, OrgPEOPLE aims to sensitize each and every member of the future society to love nature, thereby benefiting the world-wide community.

The campaign is being supported by the Bangalore-based Artist Nandan Pillai Foundation.
